This
Valley is on the trade route from LEH and is accessible via Samsar and
Karakoram Pass. Apart from unparallel trekking opportunities, the Valley
have several Buddhist monasteries such as Diskit Gompa which 350 years old
and is situated on the highest point near the villagein which there are
about 120 resident Buddhist monks. Nubra is also known for its double humped
bacterian Camels. The Camels are led in the forest to graze during summer
and brought back during winter season.
The
TSOMO RIRI Lake is situated at an altitude of 4525 Mts. and distance of 240
Kms. from LEH the capital of Ladakh. The Lake is in the South East of Ladakh
and its shape is like pearls having large miniral deposit. This Lake is
regarded a legend and there are number of stories to tell about this lake.
The Lake is 8 km. wide and 25 Kms. long and it is breeding ground for
numerous species of Birds. Chief among them is bar headed Goose, crested
Grebe, Brahmin Duck and brown headed Gull. Etc.

01. ARRIVE DELHI : Arrival assistance at IGI Airport and transfer to
hotel.
Day
07. SUMDO-CHILLING 6/7 hrs: Proceed trek through main valley and path
becomes more difficult and follow gradual ascent towards EN LA 4800 Mts.
After Crossing the Pass continue trek through the valley which narrows down
till you Reach CHILLING. The inhabitants of Chilling are working on
different metals such as Chang Pot and Tea Pot etc. O/N at Camp.
