still there is congestion in Air Traffic due to heavy rush and those who
wish to Travel by Air should plan their travel date well in advance. It
will take only 1.15hrs. from Delhi-Leh. There are two overland routes,
i.e., Srinagar Leh route and the Manali Leh route, but both the routes
remain closed till end of June or early July.
CLIMATE
: The temperature during Summer i.e., June to September would
be around 15-25 degree C. with sunny days and no heavy rains.
PERMITS
: Tourist don't need any permit to visit LEH, but all
Foreigners require to be registered at Drass, Rumtse or Sarchu if they are
travelling by road. Those travelling by Air get themselves registered at
the Airport on arrival, which normally the concerned travel agent will
handle. Foreign Tourists are also require to obtain Permit and to pay Fees
for all restricted areas which can obtain through registered Travel
