TRAVEL INFORMATION :

BY AIR : Bhutan is accessible by Air from DELHI and Calcutta to PARO and there is only Bhutan's national carrier DRUK AIRLINES. PARO is the only Airport which is 2 hrs. drive from Thimphu, the Capital of Bhutan. Druk Airline has very strict booking and cancellation policy as they have only 72 setter Aircraft and is mostly over booked. Once we make bookings, it is mandatory to get the tickets issued within 10 days. If one fails to do so, your names gets removed from the reservation list. So, it would be safer to get the tickets issued well in advance if one's Tour is confirmed. DRUK AIR will charge USD 12/- per person extra for the change of Travels date, Sector and spelling in one's names.

ROAD : Bhutan is also accessible by road from Darjeeling and Sikkim via Silguri or from Bagdogra Airport. It takes about 4 hrs. to Phuntsog Ling -the border Town of Bhutan.

VISA PROCEDURE : We will apply and process for your Bhutan Visa. You need to send us the following Passport details to process the Visa. We would send you the VISA CLEARANCE NO. before your departure and with this No. you will allow to board Druk Air. We insist to all our clients to send Passport details 2-3 month prior to their arrival just to make sure that we would be able to send Visa Clearance No. to you and Druk Airline office in your country and the Airport from where you will fly in so that you will not miss the Flight. The Visa will be issued on arrival at PARO AIRPORT.

PAYMENT : One has to transfer 50% of the Tour Cost and full Air Fare to us on confirming your Bhutan Tour with us. The balance payment should be transferred 30 days prior to commencement of the Tour. Without full payment prior to their arrival to Bhutan, Visa authority of Bhutan will not issue Visa on arrival.

BHUTAN TOUR

Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Meet & assist on arrival and transfer to Hotel. O/N at hotel.

Day 2: Delhi - Paro
Morning transfer to IGI Airport to board flight for PARO. Our Representative will meet at the Airport on arrival and then transfer to Hotel. Afternoon half day S/seeing and Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Paro Sight-seeing
Morning excursion to Drukgyel Dzong (25 kms Den) located at 9840 feet. Afternoon visit to the Ta Dzong - The national Museum housed in the ancient watchtower. O/night at the hotel.

Day 4: Paro - Thimpu
Morning drive to Thimpu. Enroute visit Simtokha Dzong, the old Fortress. Afternoon sightseeing of Thimpu visiting Handicrafts Emporium and School of painting. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Excursion to Phunaka
Full day excursion to Phunaka an ancient Capital. Also view Wangdi Phodrang. Evening return to Hotel for Overnight stay at Thimpu.

Day 6: Thimpu - Phuntsholing
Morning drive to the border Town , foothills of North Eastern Himalayian ranges.Afternoon free for and Overnight at Hotel.

Day 7: Phuntsholing - Gangtok
Morning drive to Gangtok. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Afternoon half-day city tour of Gangtok visiting Enchey monastery, White Hall, Deer Park, Orchid Sanctuary and Tashi viewpoint for Sunset. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Gangtok
Morning half-day tour of Shongu Lake. Afternoon free for shopping. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Gangtok - Darjeeling
A 4 hrs drive you reach India's queen of hill station surrounded by the costgorgeoussnow peaks in the world. Afternoon visit of Darjeeling including Ghoom Monastery, Kanchenjunga range,observatory hill, Chowrasta and Natural history Museum. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Darjeeling - Mirik Lake
Full day excursion to Mirik Lake an excellent picnic spot. Nestled in forested hills at an altitude of 5800 ft., it is famous for its man-made Sumendu Lake; orange orchards, cardamom plantations and tea estates enhance The Surroundings here. Evening return to the hotel for Overnight stay.

Day 11: Darjeeling
Free day for leisure & shopping. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12: Darjeeling - Bagdogra
Leave Darjeeling - In the morning transfer Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri station from where you catch flight / train to Delhi.

NOTE : 1. One can reach Darjeeling/Sikkim by Train from Delhi. The nearest Railway Station is New Jalpaiguri.(NJP)
2. The best Season to visit Sikkim and Darjeeling is from March-June & Sept.-November.
3. After returning back to Delhi, if Group/ individual can extend their Tour either to Agra, Jaipur and Dharamsala and also to other parts of India.
